We live in a society where success is glamorized, making everyone living an ordinary life feel inferior. As if there was a law of nature stating that life can’t be good if you don’t make lots of money from a prestigious job, and spend that on nice things and traveling around the world.
There is no such law. We’ve made that up.
Truth is that when it comes to happiness, there’s not much correlation between being successful and being happy. Lots of conventionally successful people are miserable.
Whether you want to aim for a glamorous life or not is not important. The important thing is that you don’t imagine a link between success and happiness. That’s what makes you feel unworthy with an ordinary life and unfulfilled with riches.
